Fizzy

A Choose Your Own Adventure Story

In the 1970s, Edward Packard (with the assistance of his daughters) invented something amazing. They came to be known as the Choose Your Own Adventure series of books, but you might easily have come across one of the many other titles inspired by the concept. Instead of reading the book from page 1 through to the end, the reader would make choices for the protagonist by selecting from a list of options, turning to a specific page to reflect the path chosen.

These books were, of course, aimed at children, but even as an adult there's entertainment value there. I've set out to create my own story inspired by the Choose Your Own Adventure concept. Although the writing style of my work is aimed at a slightly older audience, I've tried to keep the language and content to a level that shouldn't exclude younger readers.

Fizzy is a science fiction story with a light-hearted style, centered around a person sent to do a task with no real means to achieve it. There are many endings, some a lot "better" than others, though winning and losing is all a matter of perspective.

I hope you enjoy it.

The best place to start? Why, page 1, of course.
