"Well, sir," you begin, "did you realise you just kicked that cleaning bot straight into a hard surface, and now it's damaged?"
What's happening? Your words are growing in confidence with every syllable, and the beast hasn't rendered you asunder (yet)!
"And," you continue, "I think you should be aware of it, and make amends in any capacity you're capable."
The creature's scaled lips lift to reveal the jagged, yellowed teeth underneath.
There's a hiss of reptilian noise, and TRUDI translates, "I not care. You be sorry!"
You gulp, audibly, but proudly, ready to face your beating knowing you were doing the right thing.
Then TRUDI says, "Ooops, that's a mistranslate. Silly me. It actually said: 'I not know. I be sorry'. I'll have to make sure I don't do that again," she adds with a chirp.
"Yeah you will!" you snap at TRUDI, but then realising you don't want to aggravate the situation, you calm yourself, and smile passively.
The next few minutes are awkward, with TRUDI trying her best to translate an unknown reptiloid dialect, and you slowly becoming confident that what you're saying isn't going to aggravate the creature.
It turns out its name is KraaaaAAgh, and it's a female. And a very competent robot technician.
As you lead KraaaaAAgh back to the broken cleaning bot, she explains that she has often been responsible for damaging the smaller, scuttling technological marvels, and it has lead to her finding a genuine interest in fixing them. Oh, and she thought that "pig" was a compliment.
By the time you remember you're actually here to appease the Kalranthi Rosette, you and KraaaaAAgh are getting along like old friends. She ably fixes the little turtle-like cleaning bot, and upgrades its avoidance software while she's at it (so she and other huge creatures will be less likely to damage it in the future). She also offers to deal with the Kalranthi for you.
Wow, that's quite an offer. It's a shame you can't get a more clear translation of what "deal with" might mean, no matter how hard you try.
Will you take up KraaaaAAgh on her offer? If so, turn to

Or, to politely decline, turn to
